Hello my lovelies!

Thank you to Sarah over at In Cordibus Jesu et Mariae for nominating me in this bright and cheery tag!!  I love answering questions like these, I find them great ways to get to know more specifically the visuals and thoughts in someone's head, even your own, since they provide opportunity for some self-thought.

Answer the 11 questions the blogger asked you.
Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions.
List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or on your blog.

What is your favorite time of the year? What makes it your favorite?

I would probably say Autumn. It's the relief after the summer heat, the changing of colors from the bright hues to the soft warm tones, that make it a somewhat magical time for me. It's also when my birthday is so that might be part of the reason..

If you could learn any musical instrument, which would you choose?

I've always wanted to play the flute. At one time my dad even found a purple flute at a thrift store so I could try learning, but it was uh pretty cheap and needless to say didn't work anymore.

Describe your dream sitting room/living room.

I feel like my home is going to be a mix of a rustic farm home and a Hobbit hole. With a few random things thrown here and there. Ultimately I want my house to feel lived-in, so it probably won't be the prim and spotless parlor you find on Pinterest. I absolutely want a piano though, that for me is a must have. Floor to ceiling bookshelves, a fireplace, a comfy couch you feel like you can sit on where we'll drink cocoa..

If I could combine these into one it would come pretty close to perfect.

What do your daydreams usually consist of?

Ususally my future...  I imagine having lots of land and lots of children, being the typical housewife who has the discipline to bake and clean regularly (that part's still very much a daydream (: ).  When I'm not thinking about that I'm usually musing on what projects I can do next, how I could've said something better in a past conversation, or all the made-up scenarios of how Prince Charming will come and ask me to be his princess. 0: )

Where's your favorite spot in the world to pray and talk to God?

Either in an empty church, on a mountain top, or in a big open field.  It's usually in those places I can find the silence to just let myself be in His presence in order to listen, and I can look around and concentrate on the beauty and wonders that God has given me.

What's the most recent quote you wrote down somewhere or saved on Pinterest/Instagram?

"How strange that the grass is all that remains standing after the storm," said the boy.
"Sometimes being soft is strong," said the rabbit.

Describe a delightfully ideal Saturday afternoon for you.

Ah, to be driving nowhere through wide open fields and rolling hills, with the windows down and a mix of country music and random favorite songs turned all the way up on the radio.  Milkshakes, a good friend, and wind on my face, all until the sun sets and we set up hammocks to watch the sky light on fire with the glorious rays shining through the sparse clouds.

Out of horses, giraffes, dolphins, and elephants, which one would you choose for a pet and why?

As much as I would love a baby elephant, that baby would become very big and I don't think that would be the most practical...  However, it's always been a dream of mine to own horses and that, I feel, would be much more achievable.

What is your favorite medium of art whether you actually use it or just appreciate it?

I love using pastels, the way the colors are so smooth and blend easily has made some of my past projects turn out to be all-around favorites.  Watercolors are another medium I don't use as much, but I would love to learn more techniques.  They might actually be my favorite to look at, especially when they're beautifully and masterfully done.

What is your favorite smell?

Any kind of bread or cookies baking in the oven, or fresh country air right after it rains.

How do you come up with your blog post ideas?

Usually, they're the random thoughts that pop into my head either at work when I'm talking to coworkers, scrolling on Instagram (a dangerous pastime, I know),  or sitting on the couch with a cup of coffee and a good, inspiring book.  I used to do these "little" thought posts on my Facebook page when I had the inspiration to share, but I finally decided a blog would be a better place to write down my ramblings for anyone to read if they choose.

And that is all!

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to learn a little bit more about me. :)

And now I'd like to learn a bit more about you!  I nominate anyone who needs a little sunshine in their life today.  Which, is everyone.  Hehe. (:

  1. Who is your favorite author and why?
  2. What is one household chore you don't mind completing or actually enjoy?
  3. If your life was made into a movie, what would be the basic plot summary?
  4. What is your favorite sunrise memory?
  5. What are your top three happy songs?
  6. What style clothes would your dream wardrobe consist of?
  7. If you could have a Saint speak to you from Heaven to give you guidance, who would it be?

  1. Autumn is also my favorite season! It's so beautiful and ephemeral.

"Mix of a rustic farm home and a hobbit hole" I LOVE that decorating style/idea!

Empty churches, mountaintops, or big open fields are excellent places to pray! I also love praying in the forest and, weirdly, when I'm driving alone in the car.
